A striking vintage diablo table lamp with sculptural mid-century character, likely dating to the 1950s. It features a glossy red enameled metal shade with pierced circular detailing, set on a black bent metal tripod-style frame. The contrast between the deep red shade, white interior, brushed metal fitting, and black stand gives it a strong Italian modernist presence.
In a room, it reads as both playful and architectural. The flared conical shade and airy perforated edges give it a refined, graphic look, while the angled frame adds movement and balance. It would work beautifully as an accent lamp on a side table, shelf, console, or desk in interiors ranging from mid-century modern to eclectic or industrial.
A practical and decorative piece, this lamp offers strong visual impact even when switched off. Visible condition shows age and use: enamel loss and chipping around the rim, surface scratches and craquelure to the red finish, wear to the white interior edge, and general age-related marks to the black frame and metal hardware. The inline switch is labeled in Italian. Dimensions not shown in the provided photos.
Height: ca. 39 cm / 15.3 in
