Abstract Steel Wall Light, Signed One-Off from the South of France

A signed one-off abstract steel wall light sculpture from the South of France, formed from curled and rolled sheet steel into a striking spiral composition. The dark silvery finish, visible brushed surface, and hand-welded construction give it a strong industrial-modern presence while keeping the piece sculptural and refined. Its commissioned, artist-made character makes it feel highly individual.

On the wall, the layered spiral creates changing shadows and a sense of movement, almost like a drawing in steel. It has a minimalist, postmodern feel with a touch of brutalist restraint, and works beautifully in contemporary, wabi-sabi, loft, or gallery-style interiors. The circular openings and nested forms give it depth from every angle.

This piece is designed for wall light and has mounting holes to the back plate. It would work well as a focal artwork in a living room, hallway, office, or stairwell. Condition is good overall with light surface wear, minor scuffs, and oxidation/patina consistent with handmade steel. Welds are visible as part of the construction, and there are a few small marks and irregularities from fabrication and age.
