Large 1920s Art Deco Glass 'Great Gatsby' Wall Sconce by Art Vannes, France

A striking 1920s Art Deco lamp shade by Art Vannes, made in thick molded art glass with a dramatic frosted body and clear sculptural leaf or flame points. The form is bold, architectural, and unmistakably Jazz Age, with a soft satin finish through the center and glossy transparent edges that catch the light beautifully. It is a substantial piece—large, heavy, and highly decorative even when unlit.

In a room, this shade has the glamour and theatrical presence of true period French Deco lighting. The contrast between the misty frosted glass and the sharp clear tips creates a luminous effect that feels both elegant and sculptural, very much in the spirit of the "Great Gatsby" era. It would be wonderful on a wall sconce, niche light, or as part of a restored Art Deco fixture.

This piece works beautifully as a replacement shade or as a decorative display object for collectors of French art glass and antique lighting. Condition is very good overall, with one tiny chip visible in the photos; otherwise it presents as pristine, with age-appropriate wear to the original labels only. Please review all photos carefully for form and mounting details.
