Gaetano Sciolari Vintage 70s Wall Sconces in Chrome and Smoked Glass

A striking pair of vintage wall sconces by Gaetano Sciolari, made in Italy in the 1970s. Each sconce features a generous smoked glass globe shade paired with a polished chrome wall mount and arm, creating a beautifully balanced mix of softness and precision. The rounded glass form and mirrored chrome surfaces give these lights an elegant space-age presence typical of refined Italian modernist lighting.

Lit, they cast a warm and atmospheric glow through the smoky glass, diffusing the bulb softly while still allowing the sculptural interior form to remain visible. They work especially well in mid century modern, Hollywood Regency, and minimalist interiors, adding depth, reflection, and a distinctly architectural mood to a room.

Ideal as bedside sconces, hallway lights, or accent lighting in a living space. The pair presents very well overall, with light age-related wear to the chrome and minor surface marks consistent with vintage use. The glass appears in good vintage condition with no obvious major chips or cracks visible in the photos. Unwired backplates/interior wiring are visible from the reverse as shown.
