A striking pair of vintage 1950s pendant lights with hand-wrapped raphia shades in a warm natural straw tone. The faceted geometric form gives them a sculptural, architectural look, while the woven surface adds softness, texture, and beautiful organic variation. These are unusual mid-century ceiling lamps with a strong handmade character.
Hung together, they cast a warm, filtered glow through the open weave and create a relaxed atmosphere with a Mediterranean, coastal, and rustic modern feel. The tapered polygonal silhouettes give them a refined decorative presence even when switched off, making them ideal for interiors that mix natural materials with mid-century or bohemian design.
They work especially well above a kitchen counter, bedside tables, in a hallway, or as a pair over a dining nook. Both retain their original vintage charm. There are visible signs of age, most notably scattered spotting and wear toward the lower edge, particularly on one lamp, along with general age-related wear to the woven raphia and minor irregularities to the rims. Vintage wiring and fittings are present.
