French 60s Ceramic Table Lamp | Sculptural Drip Glaze Studio Pottery Base

A sculptural Portuguese table lamp from the 1960s, made in glazed ceramic with a rich brown ground and expressive white drip decoration. The rounded vessel form has a strong studio pottery character, with visible craquelure in the glaze and a hand-finished feel. The underside appears incised with “Portugal” and additional maker’s markings, adding to its authentic handmade presence.

In a room, this lamp brings a warm, earthy glow and a grounded organic modern feel. The deep caramel and chocolate tones, softened by the milky glaze drips, give it a tactile, collected look that works beautifully in rustic, Mediterranean, wabi-sabi, or 1960s-inspired interiors. It reads as both functional lighting and decorative ceramic object.

A lovely size for a bedside table, console, or reading corner. Condition is good vintage overall, with age-related wear to the glaze and finish, visible craquelure, and some small chips/losses around the lower rim/base edge. The base shows expected wear from age and use. The lamp base is sold without a shade.
