1 of 5 striking French wall sconces from the 1970s, made with pale aqua clear glass segments wired by hand over a shaped steel frame. The tapering conical form, exposed wirework, and layered glass construction give it a distinctly sculptural presence, somewhere between Murano-style studio craftsmanship and brutalist decorative lighting.
Mounted on the wall, it has a beautiful architectural look even when unlit, with the stacked glass catching light and creating a soft, shimmering texture. The silhouette feels both organic and geometric, making it a strong fit for mid century, postmodern, or eclectic interiors.
A beautiful accent piece for a hallway, bedroom, powder room, or living space. The frame includes wall-mounting loops and an interior bulb holder ring. Condition is good vintage overall, with age-related wear to the metal frame and wire structure, and some irregularities, nibbles, and roughness to the hand-cut glass edges consistent with its construction and age. Please review photos carefully.
