A charming pair of wall sconces made from translucent capiz panels within a darkened metal lattice and brass fittings, likely dating to the 1970s. Their softly faceted shell-like form, scalloped top edge, and pearly surface give them a refined Art Deco revival look with a gentle handmade character.
When lit, the mica diffuses the bulb beautifully, casting a warm, soft glow that feels atmospheric rather than harsh. The grid framework adds a graphic architectural note, while the curved shade shape brings warmth and elegance, making these especially appealing in hallways, bedrooms, or flanking a mirror.
These sconces would work well as bedside wall lights, in a powder room, or in a quiet corridor where ambient lighting is needed. Condition is good vintage overall, with age-related patina to the metal framework and fittings, light surface wear, and minor irregularities to the soldering consistent with hand assembly. No major cracks or losses are clearly visible in the mica from the photos provided.
