Pair of Vintage Capiz Shell Wall Sconces | Organic Modern Shell Wall Lights

A beautiful pair of vintage wall sconces made from translucent capiz shell panels with dark leaded metal framing. The softly curved shield-like form and repeating scalloped pattern give these pieces a delicate, architectural look that works especially well in organic modern, coastal, and bohemian interiors. Their natural shell surface creates a warm pearly glow and subtle variation from panel to panel.

On the wall, they have a light and airy presence while still feeling sculptural. The capiz softly diffuses light, creating a gentle ambient effect rather than a harsh direct beam. They would sit beautifully in a hallway, bedroom, powder room, or flanking a mirror or bed, adding texture and a calm, natural elegance.

Each sconce has mounting rings visible inside. Condition is good vintage overall, with light age-related wear to the metal framework and minor irregularities consistent with handmade shell construction. I do not see any major losses in the shell from the photos provided, though there are small surface marks and patina to the leading as expected with age.
