Italian 50s Perspex Wall Sconces with Brass, Pair of Sculptural Wall Lights

A striking pair of Italian wall sconces from the 1950s, combining ribbed translucent Perspex shades with elegant curved brass brackets. The asymmetrical organic silhouette gives them a distinctly sculptural, mid century character, while the softly textured diffuser adds a refined and unusual visual rhythm.

When lit, the shades should cast a gentle, softened glow, with the ribbed surface diffusing the bulb beautifully and giving the light a warm atmospheric presence. The mix of frosted translucency and aged brass makes these sconces especially appealing in mid century, organic modern, or Italian modern interiors.

These work well as bedside wall lights, hallway sconces, or accent lighting in a living room. Visible condition is good vintage overall, with age-appropriate patina to the brass and minor wear throughout. One shade shows a small visible surface mark/crease, and the electrical fittings and wiring appear vintage; installation should be handled with care and checked by a professional before regular use.
