Italian 70s Sculptural Cocoon Pendant Light | Organic Modern Ceiling Lamp

A sculptural vintage cocoon pendant light from the 1970s. The rounded segmented form gives it a soft organic silhouette, somewhere between a lantern, flower, and modernist globe, with a beautifully warm natural texture throughout.

When lit, the shade should cast a gentle diffused glow, making it especially suited to calm, atmospheric interiors. Its soft ivory tone and biomorphic shape work beautifully in mid century, Scandinavian, wabi-sabi, and organic modern spaces, whether hung over a bedside area, reading corner, or small dining spot.

A striking decorative ceiling light with a compact footprint and strong sculptural presence. Visible age-related wear includes some discoloration and spotting around the top opening, minor surface marks, and light irregularities to the paper consistent with age and use. Overall it presents well and remains very attractive. Dimensions below are taken from the photos.

Height: ca. 36 cm / 14.2 in

Diameter: ca. 41 cm / 16.1 in

Top opening diameter: ca. 9 cm / 3.5 in
