Pair of French 70s Smoked Glass Wall Sconces | Chrome Mid Century Wall Lights

A striking pair of French vintage 1970s wall sconces with sculptural smoked glass shades and polished chrome mounts. The shades have a beautifully faceted, hourglass-like silhouette with deeply textured inner glass that gives the pieces a distinctly Mid Century to Space Age look. Each sconce is fitted with a pull cord switch, adding to their period charm and practical bedside or reading-light appeal.

When lit, the thick molded glass should cast a warm, softly diffused glow while the textured interior helps create depth and sparkle. Even unlit, the combination of smoky clear glass and crisp chrome gives these sconces a refined architectural presence that works especially well in vintage modern, postmodern, or eclectic interiors.

Ideal beside a bed, in a hallway, or flanking a mirror. Condition is good vintage overall with visible age-related wear to the chrome mounts, including light surface marks and some patina/oxidation to the backplates. One glass shade has a noticeable chip to the rim, shown clearly in the photos. Pull cords show wear/fraying near the exit point. The lamps appear tested and functional, though as with all vintage lighting, professional review is recommended.
